US Army Canteen, Model 1878, Marked US Army

US Army equipment is quite rare to find on this side of the Atlantic. Some pieces are symbolic of the wars against the Plains Indians and of the security of the Frontier. The canteen, or flask, symbolizes long rides and makes a perfect Old West display piece.

Standard US Army Canteen

With the Model 1878, the US Army continued the standardization of its weapons and military equipment. This model, used by all units, has arrived in perfect condition. The 'US' marking remains visible. The cap is correct and present.
